Water ioniser Platinum plated Titanium electrodes are one of the most important components, it falls into many basic forms like sheet, rod, tube and mesh or some specialized design according to the chamber design. Water Ionization chamber contains positively and negatively charged platinum-covered titanium electrodes. These electrodes ionize the soluble minerals in the water: positively charged ions gather at the negative electrode to create alkaline water, also referred to as "reduced water" while negatively charged ions gather at the positive electrode to make acid water, also known as oxidized water.

The best water to drink is alkalized or ionized water, which is produced by running normal tap water over a positive (platinum or platinized anode) and a negative (platinum or platinised cathode) electrode. This creates positive and negative ions in the water that are then separated creating two different waters, one that is alkaline and one that is acidic.

Electroplating anodes are used to create products in many industries, including the hydraulic industry or Chemical Process industry. This electrochemical process requires anodes or Electrodes. Especially platinized Titanium or Platinised Niobium anodes. The most common uses for electroplated products are chrome-plated oil pump auger flights, hydraulic cylinders, conveyor flights, sheets and tanks where it would be impractical or too expensive to make the item entirely out of the plating metal.

Electro Plating Anode Configuration:-

The two are then connected to an electrical current source, by connecting the positive end to the plating anode and the negative to the item being to be plated. Once current flows through the system positively charged metal ions become attracted to the negatively charged item, thereby coating the item with the desired finish.

What is Electroplating?

Electroplating is used to coat certain metals with a thin layer of a pure metal, like silver or gold, copper, zinc or any of several alloys. During the process, an electric current passes through a solution known as an electrolyte. The composition of the electrolyte depends on the desired coating. The item being electroplated (cathode) is immersed into the electrolyte solution, as is the plating anode.

Advantages of Platinized Anodes:-

Platinum has the advantages of electrochemical inertness, mechanical strength, workability and favorable electrical conductivity. However, it is prohibitively expensive. Tiaano Electro Plating Anodes consist of a titanium or Niobium based material in the form of expanded meshl, sheet, rod, wire, or pipe. The standard platinum layer thickness is 1.5 micron to 5 micron in case of higher loads layer thickness of up to 20 micron. The lifetime of platinised titanium anodes is in particular dependent on the work medium (electrolyte) and the anodic current (specific current density).

It should not exceed 75 A/dm2. The platinum wear is low under these conditions and the lifetime of the anode is calculable. According to experience, it is approx. 1-4 g platinum per one million ampere hours in fluoride-free chromium baths. In case of specific current densities of over 75 A/dm2 or upon the use of baths containing fluoride, we recommend the use of platinised niobium anodes.

The essential components of the ionization chamber are its two collecting electrodes, (the anode and cathode) the anode is positively charged with respect to the cathode. As per customer request, Tiaano Design, Fabrication, and Supply of Electrodes Assembly / Membrane Electrolyzer (membrane Based Chambers) for Ionization application. The electrode assembly model consists of 2 plates, 3 plates, 5 plates, 7 plates and 9 plates for the production of Alkaline water (Ionized water) at the pH of 8.5 to 11.5 from positive chambers and acidic water at the pH of 6.5 to 6.5 from negative chambers. The alkaline water is for consumption purpose, whereas the acidic water is for disinfecting or sterilizing purposes.

Platinised titanium anodes combine the excellent electrochemical characteristics of platinum with the good corrosion qualities of titanium. They are characterized by the following features and provide more advantages.

Easier handling and recoating possibilities, optimizing plating quality, light weight. Furthermore, they can be easily removed and / or replaced whenever necessary. This often allows a re-use of expensive anode materials and designs, and reduces operational costs.

How does Electroplating (Gold Plating) Work?

In this instance, a layer of gold is to be electrodeposited on metallic jewelry to enhance its appearance.

Usually, the gold plating is connected to the anode (+ve / positive charged electrode) of the circuit and the jewellery is kept at the cathode (-ve / Negative charged electrode). Both are kept immersed in a highly developed electrolytic solution. At this stage, a DC current is supplied to the anode that oxidizes the gold atoms and dissolves them into the solution. The dissolved ions of gold are reduced at the cathode and plated on the jewelry.
