Platinum plated Titanium anodes are the workhorses of many laboratories, especially for the research and development for biomedical field and Electrolysis field. They are regarded as being stable to anodic dissolution, and it is expected that platinum coated titanium, either plated. It will be a cost effective, industrially useful alternative to bulk platinum metal.

Tiaano platinized Wire anode is simply a titanium anode plated with pure platinum or platinum metal oxides. Platinized titanium anodes act as inert anodes and are non-consumable and long lasting. These anodes are insoluble in the electrolyte under the conditions present in electrolysis.

The standard platinum thickness is 0.5 micron to 5 micron in case of higher loads layer thickness of up to 20 micron. The lifetime of platinum covered titanium or Platinum covered Niobium electrodes is in particular dependent on the work medium (electrolyte) and the anodic current. Platinum covered titanium anodes or platinum covered Niobium Anodes combine the excellent electrochemical features of platinum with the good corrosion qualities of titanium.
